purchased this heater from a event here in ohio. had trouble with it in just two weeks. called customer service and they talked me through it though. works just fine and i'm very happy with its service.

I bought this portable heater to use in my basement which doesn't receive heat from the central furnace. I can keep the entire area above 70 degrees with no problem if I choose. Last winter I bought a different kind of infrared heater from a television commercial but wasn't at all pleased. THIS heater is great though and I'd recommend it to friends and family.

I've only had my Heat a Lot for one night, but I'm left absolutely impressed. I simply have a difficult time understanding how so much heat can leave the front of the heater yet remain so quiet. If I have one negative thing to say (and I am stretching here to find Something wrong) is that the cabinet doesn't necessarily remain 'cool' to the touch as they say, but possibly a couple degrees above room temperature. I just could not be happier than I am with my purchase.

Probably my favorite part abou my heat-a-lot is the way the air in my rooms feels. I know that sounds kinda weird, but the air is warm and almost silky on my skin. I was also impressed the moment I took the heat-a-lot out of the box. Its solid and put together very well and doesn't rattle or seem cheap in any way. I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for an infrared heater!

Bought the heater in November works great, but the cords plug got real hot and melted to the outlet. Called customer service they are sending me a new one. I ask customer service if this was normal, she kind of voided the question. We'll see but other than that it works realy good, haven't used my home heater yet, temp. has been in the low twenty's for about a week and a half.

I received a Heat-a-Lot as a Christmas gifts this last weekend. I can't tell you I was excited when I opened it, but after I plugged it in and used it I was blown away. It's going to be the gift that keeps on giving I can already tell. I works so well that I was thinking about opening my front door and letting it melt the ice and snow on my porch so I don't have to shovel it. :) Seriously, I think its now my favorite Christmas gift of the year, so much so that I wanted to type a review.

Just got off the phone with a representive and have to say this is the BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE..i have ever in my 50 years dealt with ..with any product I have ever purchased.....rest assured if you should have an issue with their product they are 100 % and above ready to take care of the situation...they offered to have UPS come by and pick up the heater that I had trouble with and refund my credit card or either I could have the unit replaced....i chose to return the heater and because I had to find an alternative heat source....(was having trouble with my furnace when i ordered the unit),,I would not hesitate to do business with them again should the need arise...and I would highly recommend them to my friends...

I haven't purchased one yet but am seriously considering it. It would be my base heat for this winter if it will do the job. My house is under 1,000 sq. ft., all on one foor and current furnace is a thirty yr old gas furnace that ran over $200 monthly this past yr. And that was keeping the thermostat on 68, I don't like it too warm. I live in the Midwest and the temps can get to below zero. What is a recommendation?

I contacted the customer service on the confort heat and the heat -a-lot infrared heaters.Custmer care person(maria) took rely good care of me.she answered all my questions about there product.I also found out where these can be purchased in my area.but as i was talking to maria she told me that i can order from the company and it would be free shipping and i wouldnt have to pay the taxes as you would in your local hardware store.Great!!! why not save even more money!!! So i have resurched alot of heating units in a 2 weeks time both my husband and i,so i feel pretty good about getting this product. Cant wait to try it out.we live in a 3200 sq ft house.WE live in the country and use propane heat.If this little heater works great we will order another.(wish us luck) We will send reviews to this sight after words :thanks from debbie in kansas:

I am considering purchasing one of your heaters for my shop. It is 24x30x9 with an open ceiling (insulated) It is well insulated, with an 8x16 rollup insulated door and one man door, also has one insulated double pane window. How well will this heater perform in 20 degree weather? Will it keep my shop reasonably warm?

Don: Thank you so much for your interest. The square footage of your shop fits the capacity of our infrared heaters and your shop sounds like it is very well insulated. We have many customers using our products as their sole means of heating in temperatures that are 20 degrees and below, and many are frankly not well insulated with many more windows than you have for heat to escape. Infrared heat would be a great choice for a shop because of the way it it heats. Infrared warms objects first, not the air. In so doing, the objects in your shop will hold the heat and slowly release it into the surrounding air. We've received letter from customers who own garages that say their metal tools used to be ice cold in the winter, but no longer. So, I don't see any reason why any of our solutions wouldn't work great in you situation. Thanks again!
