Bought an oak comfort furnace from this same outfit last year and was very pleased. So this year I bought one for my daughter and her family who lives in Maine. I would recommend this product.

the heater is solid and made well but very heavy for a senior but once it was out of the box its very easy to roll it around. the remote control is simple to understand and easy to read. i turn my theromstat to 62 and the heater to 72 and my house stays very warm. thank you make a very nice heater.

It's way to early to tell how much we'll save, but so far we've only used the portable furnace when it gets cold at night. No central heat whatsoever. We have it in the hallway and its kept all the rooms perfectly warm.

My husband bought the Comfort Furance with the black cabinet about a month and a half ago and we love it so much I'm just about to buy this Oak Cabinet version. They work just as well as we'd hoped they would!! Love the remote control!!!

The heater could work better when the air is dry but I think I might just be nitpicking. I don't really have any complaints. Its a good looking heater and does what it says it will. Its more like a room and house heater tho and nothing like a space heater. I mean that in a good way. Two thumbs up on this one.

My first infra red heater was a Amish heater. My second infra red heater was a Eden Pure. My third and last infra red heater is this oak Comfort Furnace. I've had it for over a month now, and from my experience, there is the Comfort Furance and then there is every body else. No comparison. It is an amazing product.

I can't believe how quiet these Comfort Furnace heaters are. You really have to listen for it to notice at all. I love this heater so much!!!

Very pleased with this heater. Currently, here in Kentucky, electric bills are sky-rocketing. This heater will help offset these costs. Our bill for December went up only $50.00. Compared to everyone else's doubling and some tripling. I think this heater is doing its job.

I'm here playing Santa Claus (trying to get ahead this year!!!!). I'm going to get four of these Comfort Furnace 1500's today for my nieces and newphew (all at University!). I got one of these for myself last winter and they are outstanding. I bought a iheater before that and now it's in the garage for good (junk). Just want to tell everyone that these are the way to go. Ho-Ho-Ho, back to my sleigh I go!

Not a review, but a question. Would it be ok to use the comfort furnace UV in our motorhome?
Mirage Customer Servicewrote on 10/05/2011 @ 02:27:15 pm
Dianna: We appreciate your interest! The Comfort Furnace UV needs a 115 Volt AC - 1500 Watt electrical source. If your motor home meets that requirement, the UV would be perfect for you. In fact, many of our past customers have purchased a Comfort Furnace for either a motor home or a trailer. The only other consideration would be that the UV has wheels under it for easy portability, but you can always remove those so that the heater sits stationary on the cabinet when you are on the move. Thanks again for the question!

I'm looking for the best heater on the market, I've compared most units, was going to order the edenpure but I've changed my mind. I don't like the internal look of it! Do you do any infomericals for the Comfort Furnace? If not you should because I found you by chance.
Mirage Customer Servicewrote on 10/05/2011 @ 03:54:53 pm
Dianna: Thank you so much for the kind words, especially because we do pride ourselves in offering the best infrared heaters on the market. The problem with infomercials and hiring celebrities to endorse our products is that it costs a lot of money - an expense EdenPure and other infomercial brands pass on to the customer. So in the end, the customer ends up with an inferior product that costs more than it's really worth. What we've decided to do is offer the highest quality heaters made of the best materials and offer them at the lowest price possible. What we've found is that our customers tell their friends and family about their experience, who then become customers themselves, and word continues to spread. That way, our customers come out ahead and we feel great about the value we've passed on to you. Again, please accept our sincere gratitude for your comments.

quick question: has anyone like consumer reports done an independent survey on your products? I am looking for a heater that Actually saves electrical heating dollars rather than just claims to save. I have baseboard heat which is extremely expensive and inefficient. Tiny house, heat bills $90 a month. What think?
Mirage Customer Servicewrote on 11/15/2011 @ 12:28:13 am
Cheriann: We appreciate your interest and completely understand your skepticism. Unfortunately, Consumer Reports has not done a survey or study on the Comfort Furnace. What we can point to is the dozens of letters we've posted on this website, as well as the open reviews where customers have commented on this page and several others, as independent evidence.
We agree with you about the inefficiency of baseboard systems. We have had tens of thousands of customers, and many of them use the Comfort Furnace as their sole means of heating (usually in smaller homes). Every circumstance is different, but what we can say is that the average Comfort Furnace user spends less than $1 per day to supplement their home heating for 8 hours of continuous use per day.
Hope this is helpful in your decision making process, and thanks again!

I actually bought mine used and it is a 2009 model and is working very well and wish I had one more. This is a very excellent heater and my regular furnace dosent even kick on and it is down in the low 30 last night.

I am so happy to have found you on google. I was doing some iheater research for a friend who doesn't have a computer and was considering and EdenPure and discovered Comfort Furnaces by chance. I was so impressed with your products and the positive feedback from customers that I will soon be purchasing a Comfort Heater for our home in MN where our daughter and family are living until we return to MN in a couple years. QUESTION: If we purchase the Lifetime Bulb Plan will the Plan be attached to the address to which the Heater is shipped or to the name of the individual at the address? When we purchase the heater, it will be shipped to our home c/o our daughter. When we return to our home in MN we hope that you will continue to honor this Lifetime Bulb plan for my husband and me even though the heater and any replacement bulbs will be shipped to our daughter at our home in MN until we return. I hope this makes sense. Thank you for your help.

Arlys: Thank you so much for the kind words! We would be delighted to have you as a customer. The protection plan has documentation with it that ties all warranties to your particular Comfort Furnace. So no matter the owner or the street address, all bulb replacements, warranty parts/labor or associated shipping will be honored. Thanks again!

I'm considering buying one of your units. What is the difference between the Comfort Furnace and the Heat-A-Lot Furnace? Also, I need the smallest heater (in depth) that is available. Which heater would that be and what are the measurements - height, width and especially the depth? Also, how close can you safely place furniture to the unit? Thank you.
Mirage Customer Servicewrote on 11/22/2011 @ 08:48:09 pm
Sonya: Thank you for your interest! The functional differences between the Heat-A-Lot and Comfort Furnace are actually not that many. The biggest difference though can be seen in the Comfort Furnace UV models, which use ultraviolet technology to purify the air. By contrast, the Comfort Furnace XL and Heat-A-Lot sanitize the air. The difference is a technical one, but purification is considered a “better” process of cleaning the air, in general.
The Comfort Furnace UV models also have a full-function remote control with digital read-out and auto-sync technology (new this year). By comparison, the XL and Heat-A-Lot come with a standard or credit-card style remote control, allowing you to control the everyday features of the heater, but not the more obscure features that you'd use only once in a long while.
Also new this year with the Comfort Furnace UV is the use of a low RPM laminar fan. This makes the Comfort Furnace UV ultra quiet, at only 38db of fan noise. The Heat-A-Lot And Comfort Furnace XL uses a scroll-cage fan system. It's still quiet, but comes in just slightly higher at 42db of fan noise.
Another difference is the control interface on the heaters, via the buttons on the front. The Comfort Furnace UV's 6 buttons allows you to make settings faster on the unit itself. The Comfort Furnace XL has 5 buttons and the Heat-A-Lot 4 buttons. The more buttons, the less menu options you'll need to navigate to make settings.
Outside of the cabinet materials and designs, most other differences are minor and don't impact the actual heating performance of the units in any way.
The Comfort Furnace UV model's depth is the smallest, at 14.1" deep, with a width of 13" and a height of 18.2" . The Heat-A-Lot models are 16.5" deep. You can see the exact measurements of each model at the bottom of the features lists.
The cabinets of these infrared heaters don't heat up, so almost no side-clearance at all is necessary.
Thanks once again!
