Space Heater Dangers & Safe Infrared Heaters

Huntsville, Alabama law enforcement officer Micky Brantley was awarded the Medal of Valor and Lifesaving Medal on July 28th at a Huntsville City Council assembly. He will receive the award for assisting in the rescue of a man, a woman and her child from a burning house last winter. The fire was started by an old-fashioned space heater.
Unlike traditional space heaters, the heating elements in our infrared heaters cannot start a fire. That’s due to the fact that the elements in our infrared heaters are secured in a fireproof containment.
In the middle of the night on January 13, 2011, Brantley was patrolling when he smelled smoke. He explored the location, finding a home on fire. The house was engulfed in flames while Brantley and other officers tried to search for two people still unaccounted for in the home. Right after the fire was extinguished, the bodies of a 31-year-old man and a 3-year-old girl were discovered inside the home.
Brantley is being awarded the two medals for his efforts in saving the two adults and child in the fire.
Space heater may be cheaper to buy than Heat-A-Lot or Comfort Furnace infrared heaters…but you truly get what you pay for. And one of those things that you get with our infrared heaters is peace of mind.
