Not as quiet as I thought it would be - but not as loud the other's I demoed. I bought this heater in a large store and it wasn't the right enviroment to get a feel of how loud the fan would actually be. If you have the radio or a television on, you won't hear it at all though. Bottom line is you can't get a better looking heater with better features for the price. -)YK

I THOUGHT ABOUT BUYING THE HEAT-A-LOT FOR OVER A MONTH AND ONCE I GOT IT I WISHED THAT I HADN'T WAITED. I'VE USED IT FOR OVER A WEEK NOW AND CAN'T BELIEVE THESE TYPE OF HEATERS ARE NOT MORE KNOWN. IF IT WERE ME I WOULD SAY BUY IT NOW!

I bought this heater for my garage, I am a painting contractor and the pumps and paint must stay warm in the winter. This heater does an amazing job heating my garage to 70 plus if I want it to, I am very happy with this unit and would recommend it to anyone, I have tried all kinds of heaters out there from electric to fuel and nothing has held a candle to my Comfort air XL best buy i have ever made by far!!!

I bought my Comfort XL in October. It has turned really cold with all this snow we are having here in Dec. and my heater is a life saver. If I could afford it, I would get 2 more. One for my computer room and living room. I won't take mine out of my bedroom for anything. It keeps me warm and toasty all nite long and I only have it on 68 degrees but it feels much warmer. I love it and recommend it highly. Best thing I ever did for me!!!

Sorry to hear of your trouble. Unfortunately there is not a simple fix for your unit. Please call 888-778-8453 and we will send a replacement unit and issue a call tag immediately. If you have email and access to a printer the easiest way to issue a call tag is via email. Simply print the call tag, tape it securely to the box (the UPS store can also tape it down for you) and drop it at your convenience at any UPS store. Or UPS will make three attempts to pick up your unit at your residence. For customers that work the day shift the email option has been the most efficient way to send units back.

Heater works perfectly - but we are tracking our KWH costs. We read the cost is about $1 day - is that a 12 hour period? We ran it in a garage and our cost seems to be $3. We tried to keep all other electric usage the same for the test 24 hour period and non-usage 24 hours as well as the outside temp. We did this after the heater had already been in use for a week. Anyone know the cost to run based on his/her experience? thanks.

I haven't been tracking my KWH costs (you are hardcore Barbara!) but I did just get my electricity bill for January...$115.65. I went back and checked my bill from last year...$176.10. The only theng that's different from last year is this heater. I've been keeping my central unit at about 60 degrees and just pushing the heater into whatever room my wife and I are in. Now that I think about it we've been spending more time together this winter because of it. I have to say I'm more impressed with this machine than I thought I'd be.

I have acquired a three of these heaters this heating season. The First one failed after 8 weeks use, the second after 1 week of use. I did get a replacement for the 1 week failure but am out for the 8 week failure. This is $600.00 spent unwisely. I loved them in the beginning when the worked but even the one which is still running does not heat like it did in the beginning even though I have kept my filter very clean and use in a well insulated room with no drafts. I would have been better off to spend my money in propane.
